What are cot mobiles?
Cot mobiles are designed to calm your baby when in their cot or crib. They serve a dual purpose of entertaining your baby while he is lying in his cot by having something to watch and move. It is also there to calm him and help him relax and fall asleep.
What different types of cot mobiles are there?
There are two types of cot mobiles to choose from. One is a ceiling mounted cot mobile that needs to be screwed into the ceiling. As popular as these were years ago, many parents think twice now as drilling a hole in the ceiling is a fair bit of hassle and obviously leaves a hole needing a patch up job when you no longer want the mobile.
The more common type of cot mobile these days is the crib/cot mounted mobile that is easily fixed to your baby’s crib or cot.
