Putting your hair up and creating tumbling party curls

You’re a capable lady, which means that when the party calls, you can transform yourself from mum of two to glamorous goddess.

With smart products, a good set of tongs and tips from our friends at Headmasters (hmhair.com), we show you how to put your hair up and create tumbling party curls.

At a glance

Step 1

Prepare the hair with L’Oreal Professionnel Tecni Art Pli and L’Oreal Professionnel Tecni Art Volume Lift, to build a strong base to start working on. Taking a 3 inch sized section, tong the hair with a medium tong and clip at the root.

Step 2

Allow each curl to cool then unravel.  Backcomb the roots of each curl before moving onto the next, this helps to define the curl and add height at the roots.

Step 3

Brush the top section of hair towards the back of the head with fingers so that curls are not brushed out and secure above the ears.

Step 4

Twist the ends around the base creating a rose shaped bun.

Step 5

Twist the ends into the knot and massage the crown.

And if you fancy letting someone else do all of the above, plus giving you a tutorial on how to do it yourself, then book into Headmasters where they will teach and create it for you in 45 minutes.
